Why a balm?

Creams consist largely of water. That water cannot enter the skin and simply evaporates again.

But as soon as a product contains water, it needs to be properly preserved to prevent microorganisms from growing. Preservatives do not distinguish between unwanted microorganisms and those that naturally belong on your skin.

Together, these microorganisms form your skin microbiome: an important protective layer that helps keep your skin balanced and protects it from external influences.

Balmsense consists mainly of skin-compatible lipids and rich botanical oils.

There is a reason for this: your own skin barrier also consists to a large extent of lipids. They help prevent too much moisture from evaporating from your skin by effectively locking it in.
